Welcome to Maker Books

Maker Books was born out of a simple intention; makers are self-publishing every day, let’s help them do it better.

Kerry Bogert, Maker Books founder

Who We Are

Our founder (and head maker) has been immersed in the craft community for more than 15 years. She started as an indie artist creating one-of-a-kind glass beads and wire art jewelry before she was bit by the publishing bug. Her first tutorial was published in a national print magazine in 2006, her first book in 2009, her second book in 2012, and in 2013 she took on the role of Acquisitions Editor at one the nation’s largest and most well respected craft book publishers. From there, she quickly moved into the position of Editorial Director and has had her hands in the development, production, and publication of over more than 100 craft books.
